According to the study of Strategic Analytics, Samsung has replaced Apple from the first place in the world in sales of smartphones
In the first quarter of 2018, the South Korean company Samsung became the most successful smartphone manufacturers in the world market. This is stated in the published study Strategic Analytics.
During the first three months, the company released 78.2 million smartphones (about 22.7% of the total market) to the world market. However, this figure was lower by 2 million compared to the same period in 2017.
Samsung has become a leader in sales in North America, Western Europe and South Korea.
In second place – the American company Apple. Its performance this year amounted to 52 million smartphones (15.1% of the world market).
The third place was fixed by the Chinese Huawei-39.3 million devices (11.4% of the world market).
In fourth place is another representative of China – Xiaomi. The company supplied 28.3 million units of smartphones (8.2% of the market), increasing the result of last year by 15.7 million copies.
Chinese manufacturer ORRO Electronics after falling sales in 2017, in the first quarter of this year took the fifth place in sales. In total, the company sold 24.1 million (last year this figure reached 27.6 million) smartphones (7% of the market).
